Shiv Shakti Point on Moon, Know Facts
As we all know our Chandrayaan was successfully reached on Moon’s south pole. As per the news, Modi Ji has given the name of the place where Chandrayaan was landed. From today onwards Chandrayaan’s landing place will be known as Shiv Shakti Point.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid a visit to the ISRO Telemetry Tracking and Command Network (ISTRAC) situated in Bengaluru. His purpose was to engage with the brilliant scientists who are steering the Chandrayaan-3 mission. During his interaction with the ISRO team, PM Modi unveiled the designated name for the landing site of the spacecraft. He disclosed that the spot where Chandrayaan-3 made contact with the lunar surface will now be recognized as the ‘Shiv Shakti’ point.
PM Modi emphasized that the term ‘Shiv’ embodies resolutions that hold promise for the betterment of humanity, and ‘Shakti’ imparts the vigor required to actualize such resolutions. He underscored the symbolic significance of the Moon’s Shiv Shakti Point, which forges a connective thread from the Himalayas in the north to Kanyakumari in the south.
During his speech, PM Modi emphasized the significance of perseverance and underlined that the spot where Chandrayaan-2 had made a lasting impact will be formally named ‘Tiranga,’ representing the tricolor Indian flag. He highlighted that this location will stand as a perpetual source of inspiration for all national endeavors. He reiterated that obstacles should not be seen as final outcomes, but rather as building blocks leading to success. He confidently stated, “Persistent determination leads to certain success.”
